Directly above the natural bay is the Mahres Beach Club with a great view, exclusive facilities and great food.

The next smaller sandy beach bay is Playa Cala Blava. It is heavily frequented, especially in summer. Likewise locals and tourists can be found here.

The next larger sandy beach is probably the best known of the island. Only 7 km from our holiday home is S’Arenal. If you are out of season, highly recommended. No hustle and bustle, no party! From May, you should at least head for Balneareo 8 or 9. From there the beach is again “fully normal”. Out of season you can also park well here and get up to 100 meters to the beach. From there, the long sandy beach with short breaks extends over Palma to Palma Nova and Magaluf. On not too hot days, this is a great way to go jogging by the sea.

The most famous beach of the island is El Trenc, formerly an insider tip but today it is also quite crowded in the season. You should go early enough to get a good place. The 30 km route you drive most of the time along the beautiful coastal road, because you can not drive so fast here you have to calculate about 35 minutes for the route. Unfortunately, you can not reach the quieter parts of the beach by car and the parking lots are often full even in summer. On not so hot days you can make beautiful beach walks. If you run long enough then you have the chance for a bit more rest.

Of course, there are a variety of small coves called Calas here, the closest to the house is Cala Pi and is located about 18 km northwest of Bahia Azul. The most famous Calas are probably Cala D’or, Cala Millor and Cala Ratjada. These are of course frequented as well-known tourist places and offer especially in the summer a multiplicity of bars, restaurants and shopping possibilities. From late October to early April, these places are almost dead.

One of the longest sandy beaches in the north of the island, stretching from Colonia de Sant Pere to Can Picarfort and Port de Alcudia, is a popular holiday destination for families. From the house you can reach the approximately 75 km distant Alcudia in about 50 minutes.

Passing Palma you can combine the trip there with a stay in the leather town of Inca, 50 km away. One should not indulge too long the shoping cravings otherwise you may have to plan a second day trip.

In the immediate vicinity there are smaller natural bays on the southwest cliff of the island.
